a talented comedienne."

After graduating from Northwestern University's acting program, Kate was determined not to wait tables and landed herself a job as a New York City construction worker. For three years, she mixed cement, put up sheetrock and installed marble in some of New York's finest hotels and homes, always bringing a change of clothing so she could slip out for auditions during her lunch breaks.

While in New York, Kate co-founded The Open Door Mime Company, an all-female mime troupe that performed at the Atlantic Theater Company's black box theater. The mime shows were one of Kate's first forays into storytelling and physical comedy, which has become a signature in her work.

Kate is also an accomplished editor and web designer/programmer, and is proficient in six computer languages. She is currently enrolled in Trapeze School on Santa Monica pier, where she enjoys getting comfortable with the idea of jumping off of a ledge.
